About
the Forum
Whether referred to as clean, green or sustainable, building
an economy that is simultaneously more profitable and more
environmentally friendly has increasingly become a priority
in Minnesota. Private companies, state lawmakers, municipalities
and nonprofit organizations recognize growing this type of
economy as an opportunity to promote economic development,
create jobs, increase the standard of living in the state,
and benefit the environment.
From evolving their existing operations by making production
processes and supply chains more environmentally friendly
and efficient, to expanding their market potential by designing
new innovative green products and materials, Minnesota companies
are already taking part in growing the green economy in many
ways. At this forum, three dialogue-based, interactive panel
discussions with local business, finance and policy experts
will explore the diversity of activities that make up the
state’s current green economy, and propose how we can
create and seize opportunities to incentivize and support
the growth of this new economy in Minnesota.
